How to Qualify following Badges?

Membership Badge

Before being invested, a Boy must satisfy his Scout Leader that he knows the following:

Scout Promise & Law
Short History of Scout Movement
Scout Sign and Salute

Scout Membership Badge is worn on the Left Pocket, whereas World Brotherhood Badge is worn on the Right Pocket

Ittehad Badge

Ittehad Badge is earned by a Scout atleast within a Year after Passing Membership Badge and is worn between Left Shoulder and Elbow

 

Spiritual Development

  1. Know Kalma Taiyaba and Kalma Shahdat with Translation
  2. Knowledge about Eiman-e-Mufsal and Eiman-e-Mujmal
  3. Offer Namaz Regularly
  4. Know the Life of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) from Wiladat to Hijrat
  5. Know the Rights of Parents and know how to Execute

Scouts of other Religions will offer their Religious rights according to their Faith

 

Intellectual Development

  1. How to make and know the uses of Reef Knot, Sheet Bend, Sheep Shank, Clove Hitch, Bowline, One Turn and Two Half Hitches.
  2. Know how to Prepare Whipping ad know its Uses
  3. Know how to Make Waggle with the Help of Sticks or Cardboard
  4. Know about National Flag and National Anthem
  5. Know in detail About History of Scouting
  6. Know Scout Signs, Signals and  Commands
  7. Participate in Two (2) Days Camp either with his Unit or Patrol

 

Physical Development

  1. Know the Basic Principles of Health and Hygiene
  2. Know and Demonstrate How to Treat Scratches, Clean Wound and Practical Application of Dressing
  3. Be able to Race Fifty (50) Metres
  4. Know the Methods and Uses for Triangular and other Bandages
  5. Know How to Stop Bleeding from Nose

 

Social Development

  1. Know the Importance of Trees and  How to Plant a Tree
  2. Know How to Save Water from Pollution

Tanzeem Badge

Tanzeem Badge is earned by a Scout atleast within a Year after Passing Ittehad Badge and is worn between Left Shoulder and Elbow replacing Ittehad Badge

While qualifying for Tanzeem Badge, the Scout is eligible to earn atleast One (1) Proficiency Badge-other than Proficiency Badges marked for qualifying Quaid-e-Azam Badge

 

Spiritual Development

  1. Know the Life of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be Upon him) from Hijrat to Wisal
  2. Know the Basic  Knowledge and Understanding about Arkan-e-Islam
  3. Motivate and Encourage Good Work and Discourage Un-healthy Work
  4. Know the Rights of Neighbours and its Practical Execution

  1. How to make and know the uses of Timber Hitch, Fisherman’s Knot, and Man harness Knot  - Know uses as well as know the methods for preparing Sheer and Pole Lashings
  2. Know the uses of Compass and also know How to Read Map (Map Reading)
  3. Know Highways Rules and its Regulations
  4. How to Lit Fire and Cook: One curry, Make Chappati, Boiled Rice and Prepare Hot and Cold Beverages
    Cook Egg and Meat without Utensils (Backwoodsman Techniques)
  5. Know the Methods and Techniques of Observation and Sense Training:
  6. Follow a Half Mile Nature Trail, Tracking and Sense Training

 

Physical Development

  1. Know Principles of Balance Diet and its Execution / Administration
  2. Take Part in the 100 Meter Race
  3. Knowledge about Pressure Points in Human Body and know how to Stop Bleeding from Internal Wounds.
  4. How to Prepare Improvised Stretcher
  5. Know Treatment for Sprain
  6. Know how to treat Patience having Insect Bite, Bee Bite and Horn bite
  7. Know Treatment of Burns, Scalds, Bleeding from Nose, Shock except Electric Shock.

 

Social Development

  1. Know the Causes of Air Pollution
  2. Know the Importance of Trees and Plants in keeping the Atmosphere Free from Pollution
  3. Know how to Plant Trees  and also know the Methods for Protecting them from Fire and Land Erosion etc
  4. Know how to Use and Care of an Axe
  5. Participate in Health and Sanitation or any Social Development Project

Yaqeen Badge

Yaqeen Badge is earned by a Scout atleast within a Year after Passing Tanzeem Badge and is worn between Left Shoulder and Elbow replacing Tanzeem Badge

While qualifying for Yaqeen Badge, the Scout is eligible to earn atleast Two (2) more Proficiency Badges-other than Proficiency Badges marked for qualifying Quaid-e-Azam Badge

 

Spiritual Development

  1. Write an Essay of 200 words on any one of the following topics: Ghazva-e-Badar, Ohad, Khandaq and Tabuk
  2. Practical Execution of Haqooq-e-Allah and Haqooq-ul-Ebad
  3. Help and Assist the Needy and Sick Peoples or Persons at Villages and Hospitals etc

 

Intellectual Development

  1. Pioneering: How to Make and also know the Uses of Fireman Chair Knot, Crown Knot and Rolling Hitch - Know How to make and also Know Uses of Square, Diagonal and Tripod Lashings  - Know How to prepare Back, Short and Eye Splices and also know their Uses
  2. Map Reading and Making: Knowledge about Contours and Conventional Signs. - Know How to Draw a Map Using Triangular Method
  3. Estimation: Distances, Numbers, Heights and Weights, (Knowledge of measuring each in Two (2) Different ways) and Know his Personal Measurement
  4. Cooking: How to Cook Two (2) Curries, Chapaties and how prepare Two (2) Hot and Cold Beverages. - Cook Potatoes, Meat, Eggs, Bread, Toast, Boiled Egg without Utensils (Backwoodsman Techniques)
  5. Camping: Take Part in the Camp for Six (6) Consecutive Nights (Camped for Three (3) Consecutive Nights twice is also Acceptable) - Twenty (20) Kilometres over-night Hike (with the Help of Map and Compass)  -  Prepare a Hike Report with Directions

 

Physical Development

  1. First Aid: Know How to Treat Heat and Sun strokes, Electrical Shock and Faints
  2. Know How to Diagnose and Provide Treatment to Person having Fracture
  3. Know Basic knowledge about Respiratory System and Uses of Two (2) Methods of Artificial Respiration
  4. Know the Danger of High and Low Blood Pressure

 

Social Development

  1. Take Part in the Social Services for a period of Six (06) months but not Exceeding Two (02) Hours in a Week
  2. Be Able to Teach an Illiterate Person Enabling Him to Read ‘First Qaida’, Write His Name and be Able to Count and Write upto One Hundred (100)
  3. Conservation: Know the Causes of ‘Land Erosion’ and know methods for Protecting
  4. Know the Causes of ‘Wild Fire’ and know How to Control it
  5. Know the Importance of ‘Wild Life’ and Basic Rules of ‘Wild Life”
  6. Know the Uses and Care of Axe and Saw

Quaid-e-Azam Badge

Quaid-e-Azam Badge Certificate is issued by the Provincial Scouts Headquarters, Sindh with the Signature of Governor and Chief Scout of Sindh

Quaid-e-Azam Badge is worn between Left shoulder and elbow replacing Yaqeen Badge

Four (4) Proficiency Badges earned for Quaid-e-Azam Badge will be worn on Left shoulder around Quaid-e-Azam Badge and the Remaining Proficiency Badges will be worn between Right shoulder and elbow

Scout must be 14 to 17 years of age

Scout must be Yaqeen Badge Holder

Scout must have earned atleast Three (3) Proficiency Badges, that is, atleast One (1) Proficiency Badge at the time of qualifying Tanzeem Badge and atleast Two (2) Proficiency Badges at the time of qualifying Yaqeen Badge

Scout after qualifying following Four (4) Proficiency Badges will be able to earn Quaid-e-Azam Badge, provided he is able to clear Quaid-e-Azam Badge Test organized by the Provincial Scouts Headquarters, Sindh during Three (3) Days Camp as per National Youth Programme Policy & System of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association (page No. 22 rule no. a-d of (1V):

Sirat-e-Mustqeem Badge (Compulsory)
Ibeteda Tibbi Imdad (Compulsory)
Camper / Signaler / Pioneering / Computer Operator (any one from this group)
Tahfuz-e-Mahul / Rahber / Quomi Sheriat / Civil Defence (any one from this group)

Scout must have up-to-date, detailed and complete knowledge about the Life of Quaid-e-Azam and his message to Scouts (verbally & extempore)

Four (4) Proficiency Badges earned by Scout, while qualifying Quaid-e-Azam Badge will be stitched around Quaid-e-Azam Badge between Left shoulder and elbow and the remaining Proficiency Badges earned by Scout will be stitched between right shoulder and elbow

Chief Commissioner’s Award on Region Wise

Who selects the Chief Commissioner’s Awardee?
Each Provincial Scouts Associations in Pakistan on yearly basis, Region Wise

Scout already Selected for Chief Commissioner’s Award will not be allowed to compete for this award for another time, but he is eligible to compete for President’s Gold Medal Award in the subsequent years, if his Age is within Prescribe Rule / Criteria

As per criteria given in the National Youth Programme Policy of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association during Three (3) Days Camp organised by the Provincial Scouts Associations

Prizes and Certificate awarded to Chief Commissioner’s Awardee
Certificate duly signed by the Chief Scouts Commissioner of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association with cash prize of Rs. 500.00.
